OPRFHS Theatre Program Prepares Students for Life On-Stage and Off

OPRFHS' theatre program offers students both a curricular (classroom-based), and extra-curricular avenue of study. Both give students in-depth and hands-on experience in the dramatic arts that emphasizes educational theatre, but also keeps students well-prepared should they choose to continue their theatre studies after graduation.

In addition to the curricular offerings which satisfy the school's fine arts graduation requirement, the Department also sponsors the Drama Club as well as offering a wide variety of other extra-curricular activities for students interested in exploring the world of theatre and speech arts, including Stage Crew and an award-winning Speech Team.

Performance experiences abound with broad opportunities for students to act, direct, design and create in three separate performance spaces.

For more information about any of these programs, contact Michele Bayer, Theatre/Broadcasting Department Chair.

APPLAUSE! is proud to support this vibrant group, and has enjoyed being a part of the "Little Shop of Horrors" choreography, and providing a DJ for the winter musical wrap party.
